SIGNING A COOPERATION AGREEMENT ON IMPLEMENTATION OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION, AI APPLICATION IN HEALTH ACTIVITIES AT HOSPITAL

On November 16, 2022 at the Training & Investment Center of Hue Central Hospital (16 Le Loi Street, Vinh Ninh Ward, Hue), Hue Central Hospital and VinBrain Joint Stock Company of Vingroup held a cooperation agreement signing ceremony to implement deeper cooperation programs in digital transformation, smart hospital construction and scientific research.

The Covid-19 pandemic has been likened to a "bell ring" to wake the world up to the importance of accelerating the digital transformation process in the health sector. AI technology is considered to soon become an indispensable "assistant" of the medical team. With its strengths in data analytics, AI provides rapid analysis, refinement, and diagnostics. 

Not out of that trend, after the first phase of cooperation brought remarkable results, helping to reduce 20% of the time to return imaging results to patients, Hue Central Hospital and VinBrain Company have moved to the next phase. The second part of the cooperation process marked by the signing ceremony was held on November 16, 2022 at the Training & Investment Center of Hue Private Hospital (16 Le Loi, Vinh Ninh ward, Hue). The two sides agree to jointly implement the following projects:

• Researching and developing further features of DrAid™ software in diagnosing and screening liver cancer through CT images, assessing the response of rectal cancer radiation therapy through MRI images.
• VinBrain provides remote medical examination and treatment solutions, smart utilities connecting patients and hospitals. Patients at Hue Central Hospital will be able to build their own application to book an appointment; Video and audio calls to receive doctor's advice; Online payment via e-wallet; Medical records management; AI feature to check lung damage, stroke, Thalassemia disease for free;… Application for doctors will support tracking and managing appointments, patient's medical records as well as video calling for consultation.
• AI Camera solutions will also be pioneering, aiming at a smart hospital model with technologies such as facial recognition, security warning/control, and abnormal behavior detection such as violence or cases of strokes, falls and injuries when alone... 

Previously, in 2021, Hue Private Hospital implemented VinBrain's "AI virtual assistant" DrAid™ application into daily medical examination and treatment. After just 18 months of integrating DrAid™ into the hospital's PACS (image storage and transmission system), nearly 67,000 images have been uploaded. DrAid™ screened and quickly identified 71% of images with no abnormalities.

The meaning of the application of AI in healthcare does not stop at providing remote medical examination and treatment services or monitoring medical records online, but it is the detection of small lesions that are difficult to see, minimizing errors. in diagnosis. DrAid™ also provides additional useful reference information such as lesion localization, lesion heat map to help doctors observe more closely and increase accuracy. These are big changes at Hue Private Hospital when moving towards building a smart hospital model. 

Sharing at the event, Mr. Truong Quoc Hung - General Director of VinBrain said that by integrating DrAid™, the hospital instead of having to print hard films, read films and rewrite diagnoses for patients as usual, DrAid™ will automatically intelligently screen, increasing work efficiency.
